HELPING A LOCAL REFUGE

A winter feed shed used to store bags of corn needed to feed the dozens of ducks at Webster Pond was vandalized by squirrels. Yes, squirrels. Thanks to funding from Syracuse Rotary, the shed was replaced with a galvanized metal shed that is 100% squirrel-proof! The corn was transferred to the new shed which has thwarted many pesky squirrels since.

The club additionally funded a tractor to assist with property upkeep including mowing, plowing, and moving debris at the pond's facilities.
